Marnie Dickens

Marnie Dickens is the creator and writer of the highly acclaimed drama serial ‘Thirteen’ which aired on the new online only BBC3 and then on BBC2 in 2016. The series was also shown on BBC America. The drama centred on Ivy Moxam (Jodie Comer), a kidnap victim who returns home after thirteen years trapped in a suburban cellar.

She is now working on a number of new  developments for television, including  a period drama series, ‘Forty Elephants’, with Mainstreet Pictures/Hammer/BBC, a sci-fi project for Sky, a 1970s female empowerment crime show for Mainstreet/BBC Wales and an epic female warrior drama series, ‘Amazons’, for World Productions.  Marnie’s other television credits include ‘Ripper Street’ and ‘Musketeers’  for the BBC. She is also writing several films and was recently named a BAFTA  Breakthrough Brit for 2016.
