Shaun Hill is a legend in British cooking. He has spent 50 years in the kitchen, heading various Michelin-starred restaurants over his long career, including 9 years at the Gidleigh Park. After putting Ludlow on the culinary map with his restaurant, The Merchant House, Shaun now runs the Walnut Tree near Abergavenny in Wales, Where he picked up his third Michelin star in 2010.
In his latest book, ‘Salt is Essential- and other things I have learned from 50 years at the stove’, Shaun shares his wealth of experience so that the home cook can create truly remarkable dishes. Never one for chasing culinary fads and trends, Shaun prefers to keep his cooking ‘real’, sourcing the best ingredients and with an emphasis on creating flavour. This event will be essential for anyone who takes their food – but not themselves – seriously.
